How did you come to faith?
I always knew the Lord but was never serious of taking the next step grew up in a Christian house hold where my Dad was quite strict about it, so I gave my life to God in 2007 January 17th when I was tempted to commit suicide and in that same week I almost died in a car crash after a night out with school mates.
Who has been the biggest influence on your Christian journey?
Very humble man and great mentor of mine called Ben van der Merwe.
What is the best bit of advice you have been given and can pass on to us?
Its a old saying thing, but it motivates me and keeps me going in life "at the end off the tunnel there will be light" no matter how hard things are God has Planned a great future for us. Strive to be humble in all situations you face, I've learned that cricket is only a tool in my life that I use to fulfill Gods purpose and His talents.
When has your faith mattered the most?
Right now at this current moment where God is working hard on my character where in my last two seasons I only played Three Franchise games for the Titans which I am very thankful for also thought me that you never can take life easy and take things for granted always be thankful for every opportunity. But I believe I still have a lot to offer for whoever I will be playing back home in South Africa and that better days are ahead of me, a verse that keeps me going day in and out Jeremiah 29;11.
Is it easy being a Christian cricket player?
No, you get tested on a regular basis and when that happens I just let Gods light shine as every one has different opinions towards life itself.
What is your favourite bible verse?
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves its a Gift from God.
